SEND Keyworker

  • Salary: £30,024 to £33,699 per annum
  • Contract Type: Permanent Full time
  • Working Hours: 37 per week

This is a permanent contract to work within our SEND team and you will be based in Newcastle.

Main Responsibility

You will:

  • support the SEND Locality Leads to carry out the Local Authority's SEND duties in relation to co-ordinating Education Health & Care (EHC) assessments.
  • producing EHC Plans and carrying out annual reviews.
  • work closely with our children and young people with special educational needs and disability and their families as well as a range of qualified professionals in education, health and social care.
  • develop collaborative and respectful relationships, promoting choice and independence and improve outcomes.
  • ensure that education, health, and care plans comply with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements in addition to the policies, standards and procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

It's a fast-paced role so you'll need to be able to manage your own caseload independently and as part of the team. You will also:

  • Need excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of the SEND legislation plus, it's important that you can reflect on practice and improve as a result.
