Job Introduction

We have some exciting opportunities for highly motivated individuals with a real can-do attitude to join our Administration Team, where you will work on all areas of pensions administration for members of the Local Government Pension Scheme. We will need you to maintain records accurately, calculate benefits and respond to written and verbal enquiries about the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). Main Responsibility

The Administration team focuses on:

  • accurately calculate and check a full range of pension benefits (including more complex and challenging cases) as required under the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations and any related regulations to ensure Scheme Members receive the correct information about their pension benefit.
  • timely payment of benefits to its members
  • recording of accurate information
  • updating scheme members pension records
  • communicate with scheme members, employers, and other stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for you to have:

  • previous experience in an administration or financial role
  • a thorough and logical approach to your work
  • ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • a customer focussed outlook is important to us as is a strong attention to accuracy and detail.
