Infrastructure Storage Analyst - Spectrum Scale

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an Infrastructure Storage Analyst for a contract role with a banking client. Remote work, 1 day per month in Manchester (Coventry possible). £316 per day inside IR35. Immediate start.

Job Details

  • Location: Manchester (remote with occasional office visit)

  • Contract Length: Initial 6 months

Responsibilities

  • Independently troubleshoot and resolve production service incidents
  • Undertake technical tasks such as patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts, and configuring backups
  • Effectively prioritise tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first

Required Skills/Experience

  • VMware enterprise skills (vRealize, SRM, operations manager)
  • CISCO UCS infrastructure
  • Storage technologies: vSAN, VxRail
  • Linux command line experience
  • Spectrum Scale protocols: GPFS, NFS, SMB in active-active topology
  • IBM Flash Systems replication (global mirror, metro mirror, change volumes)
  • Cluster management within Spectrum Scale, Oracle, ESXi
  • ServiceNow ticket management
  • Cloud technologies (AWS) awareness
