The Role

The Adoption London South - Regional Adoption Agency is a forward-looking partnership across 10 South London councils. We are looking for a qualified Social Worker to join our committed, stable and diverse adoption social work teams preparing or supporting families for South London children.

Adoption social workers assess and prepare adoptive families to meet the needs of children looking for stable homes. In the post adoption team, the focus is on helping families access therapeutic help from the Adoption Support Fund. Reducing race disparity in adoption is a key objective.

The vacancy is in South West Assessment and Pre-order Support Team, based at Tooley Street, London Bridge with agile working.

Key Requirements

• A commitment to excellent working relationships
• Enthusiasm for partnership working across 10 South London Local Authorities
• Ability to work across ALS to ensure best use of resource
• Commitment to services reducing race disparity
• Knowledge of childcare and adoption legislation, statutory guidance and London Child Protection Procedures
• Experience with Mosaic Case Management workflow systems
• Commitment to personal development

Additional Salary Details

Our offer includes a salary range of £42,855 - £50,088, benefits, pension, flexible working, and 28 days leave. Full-time post (36 hours), permanent role, enhanced DBS required.
