Job Introduction

Join [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as a Security Guard in Rugby and play a vital role in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. You’ll be responsible for the efficient day-to-day operation of site security, ensuring everything runs smoothly while delivering a high standard of people care. In this role, you’ll help protect people, property, and assets, while also providing a professional and reassuring presence that leaves a positive and lasting impression of the security service.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage goods in and goods out processes efficiently to ensure smooth site operations
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors and contractors, issuing badges and accurately logging all site entry and exit
  • Monitor CCTV systems, control access via keys and key codes, and respond appropriately to any security concerns or incidents
  • Complete, review, and send detailed incident reports covering issues such as intrusions, vandalism, and emergencies
  • Respond to emergencies in line with site procedures, including acting as an initial emergency contact where required
  • Support overall site safety and communication by handling calls and enquiries, checking fire exits and safety equipment out of hours, and promoting health and safety standards at all times

What you bring:

  • SIA Licence holder with a commitment to delivering a consistent, high standard of security service in line with company expectations
  • Strong understanding of security procedures, including site operations, emergency response protocols, and maintaining a safe environment
  • Confident using security systems, including CCTV, alarms, and related computer-based monitoring systems
  • Professional, calm, and discreet approach, with the ability to remain diplomatic and courteous at all times
  • Good awareness of site-specific procedures, including emergency arrangements and the importance of accurate, secure communication
  • Desirable: CCTV Licence, First Aid and Fire Warden qualifications, with working knowledge of BS7858:2013 standards
