About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Clerk of Works (Electrical) to join our team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. You will be responsible for providing technical oversight and assurance across construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Functionality: Verify installed systems operate as designed and meet specification requirements.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Review designs for long-term maintainability and compliance.
  • Workmanship & Finishing: Inspect quality of workmanship and finishes.
  • Materials & Equipment: Ensure all materials are approved and correctly installed.
  • Commissioning & Testing: Witness and assure commissioning and certification.
  • Safety & Compliance: Monitor adherence to health & safety standards including CDM Regulations.
  • Defect Management: Identify, record, and track defects.

You will also review contractor method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality documentation, and provide technical advice.

About You

Qualifications & Knowledge: Degree in a construction discipline or relevant trade background with substantial experience. Good working knowledge of CDM Regulations.

Experience: Proven experience in construction, property, or maintenance environments with strong background in reviewing technical drawings, conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance, defect management, and technical reporting.
