  • 4 days a week: Tuesday to Thursday 10:30am – 6:30pm; Saturday 9:30am – 5:30pm

We are looking for a dedicated and friendly Food Service Assistant to join our team at The Scottish Parliament Edinburgh, Scotland, EH99 1SP. You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of efficient and high-quality food services. Creating a positive experience for everyone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring that food and beverages are served to a high standard.
  • Assist in the preparation and assembly of meals, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in the food service areas, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and restocking supplies.
  • Help with the safe storage of food items and adhere to the rotation of stock.
  • Take customer orders, process payments, and support any special dietary requirements.
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down food service stations, ensuring an efficient service operation.
