Food Service Assistant

Pay: £12.81 per hour | Hours: 37.5 per week | Full-time, Term Time Only (39 weeks), Permanent

About the Role

As a Food Service Assistant at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you'll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you'll help ensure everything runs smoothly. You'll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
  • Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
  • Replenish food displays and service counters as required
  • Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
  • Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
  • Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors

What We’re Looking For

  • Good organisation and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks
  • Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided

Additional Information

Term Time Only – Equated Pay: This role works 39 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
