THE ROLE

The Technical Production Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s technical production function, ensuring consistently high standards of delivery, strong technical governance and best-in-class execution across all projects.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with the Technical & Innovation Director to define [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s technology strategy; act as technical authority; develop technical toolkit and processes.
• Production & Delivery: Oversee full technical production lifecycle; produce technical drawings and specifications; lead technical direction of complex events; ensure H&S compliance; creation of CAD plans.
• People Leadership: Build and line manage the technical production team; foster high-performance culture.
• Supplier & Budget Management: Manage supplier relationships; prepare technical budgets; maintain inventory.
• Client & Commercial Contribution: Support pitches and proposals; build client relationships; identify growth opportunities.
• Sustainability: Implement accessible and sustainable approaches; measure and report goals.

ABOUT YOU

• 8+ years in technical production roles within live event/experiential agency
• Deep expertise across AV, lighting, sound, staging, rigging, LED, scenic production
• Proven track record leading complex high-budget productions
• Experience managing and developing in-house technical teams
• Working knowledge of PROCIM finance software & technical design software (Vectorworks, AutoCAD)
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., IOSH, CDM)
• Willing to travel within UK and internationally
