Job Summary

The post holder will serve as principal point of contact for all health and safety matters, overseeing compliance within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] departments, parishes, trading subsidiaries, and associated organisations. Requires NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and Chartered Membership of IOSH. The successful candidate must uphold the ethos of the Catholic Church. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Director of Property and Financial Secretary in developing health and safety management system.
  • Monitor and review Diocesan Health & Safety Policy.
  • Support Parish Health and Safety Representatives.
  • Carry out audits and inspections, fire safety risk assessment reviews.
  • Coordinate training on DSE, fire safety, lone working.
  • Liaise with external agencies like HSE, Fire and Rescue, Local Authority.

Personal Specification

Essential: NEBOSH Diploma, Chartered IOSH, sound understanding of H&S legislation, risk assessment, training delivery, accident investigation. Desirable: Facilities management experience.
