Parts Department Sales Assistant

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a proactive Parts Sales Operative for a client in Halstead. This full-time, permanent role offers £28k-£30k plus development opportunities.

The Role

Based in the office, you will support and drive spare parts sales while ensuring a high level of service to both new and existing customers. You’ll work closely with the sales team and report directly to the Departmental Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming parts enquiries and convert them into sales
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and expand the customer base
  • Manage stock control, goods received, and inventory accuracy
  • Issue parts and resolve any discrepancies efficiently
  • Monitor stock levels and parts performance
  • Use internal systems and Microsoft Office for reporting and administration
  • Occasionally attend customer events and offsite stock checks

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience dealing with parts/components within a heavy engineering, hgv vehicles or agricultural machinery parts (desirable)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A self-motivated, proactive approach with the ability to work independently
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Comfortable using IT systems, including Word and Excel
