The Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager from a practice background, with strong experience across management accounts, VAT, and compliance. You will work closely with a Partner and Manager within the Private Client team to manage a portfolio of high-profile individuals and entrepreneurs, delivering and reviewing their financial reporting requirements, including statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns, while providing ongoing advice and guidance.
Role Objectives
- Provide the highest level of service and advisory support to a portfolio of key clients through regular face-to-face, video and email comms.
- Produce or review statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT returns for Private Clients.
- Assist with oversight, management and development of the Private Client junior team members and future recruits to the rapidly growing team.
- Assist with business development and onboarding of new Private Clients to the offices in the north (Manchester, Liverpool & Leeds).
- Managing all reviews, work in progress and billing for your clients, ensuring monthly targets and filing deadlines are met.
- Co-ordinate information from, and work closely with, the Wealth Management and Tax teams to pull together comprehensive reporting packs for clients.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Newly qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA with experience within a practice environment where main duties have related to statutory year end accounts or management accounts.
- Experience of preparing and reviewing financial reporting packs.
- Up to date experience of accounting and reporting software, including CCH and Xero.
- Personal tax experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
