Job Description

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting on behalf of our client based in Norwich for a Machine Manufacturing Operative.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing team, assembling and testing mechanical and electrical products to high quality standards. You’ll play a key role in ensuring production targets are met while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical products
  • Work to production schedules and meet output targets
  • Accurately follow engineering drawings and build procedures
  • Complete sub-assembly and spares work orders on time
  • Maintain quality standards and complete associated documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team
  • Liaise with quality and production teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Assist other departments where required

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience using hand tools and assembly techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to suggest improvements
  • Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office)

Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30
  • Friday: 08:00 – 14:00
  • £13.00 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
