Main purpose of the role

Dealing with and leading on commercial matters to include:

  • commercial contracts to include supply of goods and services
  • IT/technology agreements
  • agency and distribution
  • terms and conditions of sale and purchase
  • E-commerce
  • franchising
  • product liability and safety

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • excellent client facing skills and the ability to nurture existing clients and third party relationships
  • ability to prioritise work and to work to strict timescales where required
  • technical excellence
  • strong academic background
  • strong negotiation skills
  • ability to support the successful development of the firm in line with its overall objectives including client care
  • participating in marketing activities and actively seek cross referral opportunities and to market the firm's services
  • maintaining good professional working relationships with external institutions and organisations
  • a willingness to work closely with other departments within the firm on joint projects
  • a commitment to driving the growth and future development of the department, the business of the firm as a whole and assisting in the continued growth of the client base
  • promoting and publicising the firm through professionalism
