Job Summary

Band 5 Occupational Therapist (Rotational) at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. Suitable for new graduates and experienced Band 5s. Rotations include Stroke, Medicine, Elderly Care, Surgery & Orthopaedics, Neuro rehabilitation, and Acute Medical Unit. Comprehensive support package with band 5 passport, workshops, and buddy system.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Deliver patient-centred occupational therapy for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Hospital (RBFT).
  • Professionally responsible for all aspects of own work including therapeutic management of patients.
  • Provide support and advice to the Multidisciplinary team and manage own caseload as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Deliver high quality, effective and efficient occupational therapy service.
  • Contribute to service development in Therapies and the Trust.
  • Deputise for the Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist as required.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Skills

Essential: Degree or other recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy, HCPC Registered, IT skills including email. Desirable: BSc OT, Member of BAOT, Training & Presentation Skills.

Experience

Essential: Experience working in a healthcare setting, Experience of 3 or more different areas of Occupational Therapy practice (can be practice placements). Desirable: Experience working in an acute general hospital, Experience working in NHS healthcare setting.
