Job Summary
Band 5 Audiologist - This is a fixed-term post for 12 months to cover maternity leave. The audiology team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] are looking for an enthusiastic audiologist with a passion for quality care. As a Band 5 Audiologist you will be expected to have previous clinical experience of working independently in adult audiology clinics. We have a strong focus on training, mentorship and continued professional development.
Main Duties of the Job
- Provide adult diagnostic hearing assessment and adult rehabilitation work
- Independently provide ENT support and hearing aid repair and maintenance
- Work across multiple sites in Berkshire and South Oxfordshire
- Develop and diversify clinical skills to manage complex caseloads
- Support other clinics such as paediatrics and tinnitus
- Train and supervise internal and external students
- Involvement in audits and service evaluations to maintain IQIPS accreditation

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential: BSc Hons in Audiology or Equivalent, Practical competency qualification (e.g. CCC, PTP). Desirable: Registration or evidence of working towards registration.
Experience
Essential: Experience in adult audiology including assessment, hearing aid fitting and aftercare (including accurate testing and verification through probe mic and/or coupler measurements). Ability to communicate complex information. Desirable: Wider adult rehabilitation skills (tinnitus management, speech testing, CROS fitting, BAHA fitting, non-routine hearing assessment clinics).
Other Skills
Essential: Competency in all areas of adult assessment and rehabilitation, diagnostic audiometric techniques to BSA/BAA standards, IT literacy. Desirable: Experience of development and implementation of clinical protocol and policy, evidence of involvement in audit.
