Landscape South Manager

Location: Egham

Salary: £49,979 to £59,125 per annum pro rata - including London Allowance

Post Type: Part Time (21 hours per week, 0.6 FTE, Fixed-Term 96 months)

About the Role

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] has been successfully awarded funding to lead the AHRC Doctoral Landscape South Hub which provides training and support for doctoral students in the arts and humanities. Landscape South is led by [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and is a collaboration between [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], Reading, Sussex, Exeter, Bristol, Oxford, Oxford Brookes, Southampton, Brighton, the OU, and Kent.

The Landscape South Manager will lead on administration for Landscape South, working closely with the Landscape South Director to ensure the successful implementation of Landscape South through [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and the DLA’s partner institutions, and will provide line management of the Landscape South Training Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead administration for Landscape South Hub
  • Work with partner institutions to deliver training and support
  • Line manage the Training Officer
  • Strategic planning and implementation
  • Develop and review processes

Person Specification

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have a strong understanding of the Higher Education sector. You will have the ability to think and plan strategically, strong interpersonal skills, excellent organisational skills, strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt and respond to changing requirements, a high level of written and IT literacy and communication skills, and strong team-working skills. You will demonstrate experience of line management and team leadership, of having a professional approach with communication to staff and service users, delivering a strong standard of service, as well as possessing the ability to work collaboratively, and to review and develop processes.
