Job Description

Do you have retail experience? Can you deliver first class customer service? Would you like to work in a creative environment? Do you want to be part of a brilliant, collaborative team?

We are looking for a Senior Sales Assistant, with a background in retail, to join our shop, based in the [Employer hidden] Theatre. In this role, you will ensure the smooth and effective operation of the team by providing daily supervision, guidance and motivation, whilst always delivering exceptional customer services and efficient operational processes.

You will report to the Deputy Head of Retail, where some of your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the shop operates efficiently daily
  • Motivating, supporting and supervising a small team
  • Serving and assisting customers with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] merchandise, enhancing the customer experience
  • Providing outstanding customer service and a high quality visitor experience.
  • Operating EPOS systems and maintaining stock levels
  • Maintaining excellent presentation of merchandise, cleaning fixtures and fitting

Requirements

To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have:

  • Experience of working in a retail environment, cash handling and using EPOS systems and Microsoft packages.
  • The ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Great customer service and communication skills.
  • An eye for visual merchandising.

Additional Information

This position is offered as a full time, permanent role, working 5 days, Monday through to Sunday, 37.5 hours per week. The shifts are 7.5 hours with half an hour break. The earliest start would be 9am and the latest finish would be 11pm, however 10pm is the norm.
