Priests’ Welfare & Wellbeing Officer Part-Time
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a part-time Priests’ Welfare & Wellbeing Officer to cover the Kent area. The role supports retired and sick priests, liaising with healthcare teams and managing pastoral, property, and benefits needs. Salary £38,000-£42,000 per annum (pro-rated).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic support to retired and sick priests to maximize wellbeing
- Liaise with community healthcare teams and clergy
- Facilitate services and recommend care arrangements
- Assist retired clergy with state benefits and signposting
- Work jointly with other team members and provide cover
Requirements
- Social work or healthcare background
- Understanding of health and social care in practice
- Knowledge of the benefits system
- Proven experience in safeguarding and governance
- Competent IT user with good communication skills
Working Hours & Salary
3 days per week (2 considered). Full-time salary pro-rata: £38,000-£42,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
