Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 pa

Type: Full-time, On-site

About the Role

We are a unique venue situated in an urban oasis in South West London near to Richmond Park and offer a programme of organised retreats and events which can be either residential or non-residential. The facilities can accommodate groups or individuals.

The Director will be responsible for:

  • Promoting Kairos as a centre of excellence in the South for retreat programmes
  • Managing the service provision of the Centre to reflect the Charism, ethos and philosophy of the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]
  • Providing leadership and support to a team comprising the catering, administration, and maintenance staff
  • Marketing the Centre through the delivery of retreat programmes, creating brochures, developing a network within the local and Christian community and maintaining an up to date website
  • Liaising with guests from initial enquiry through to departure to ensure a high quality of welcome and hospitality
  • Developing the budget and manage the overall activities with the appropriate sense of commerciality

Requirements

The successful candidate must have at least 3 years proven experience in a managerial role at a senior level and, in addition, will have:

  • Experience of working in a retreat or hospitality centre
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety
  • Ability to lead and develop a team of staff
  • Ability to take responsibility within delegated authority and exercise appropriate judgement
  • Excellent administrative and IT skills
  • Ability to compile budgets and business plans
  • Ability to communicate effectively variety of audiences both internally and externally
  • Commitment to care and respect for the individual in line with the ethos of the Charity
  • Energy and enthusiasm

There is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a practising Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

Hours of Work: 37.5 per week, which will include evening and weekend duties.
