Caritas, JPIC and RCI Operations Coordinator

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 per annum | Full-time, 35 hours/week | Fixed-term contract 18-24 months

Role Overview

This is a newly created role and offers a great opportunity for someone to come in and work on a single commission responsible for overseeing and promoting justice and charitable activities within the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. This role reports to the Head of Caritas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drafting and preparing departmental newsletters
  • Drafting and supporting content for the Website/Resource Centre and ensuring these are updated
  • Provide support for Social Media channels in liaison with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Communication department
  • Respond/ process Email and telephone contact for Caritas, JPIC and RCI
  • Develop publicity materials including posters, flyers, etc
  • Devise and implement the collection of data sets using online survey methods
  • Prepare reports using data/ research
  • Map Social action and charitable activities within [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]
  • Develop a data base to record parish and school social action activities
  • Map activities of Caritas, JPIC and RCI networks
  • Plan and organise events and webinars
  • Circulate invites and coordinate event setup
  • Manage GDPR, H+S and ICT compliancy for events
  • Publish meeting dates, book venues, circulate papers, manage Zoom account

Person Specification

  • Commitment to and practice in the Catholic Faith with deep understanding of Catholic Social Teaching
  • Relevant office and hybrid working experience
  • Knowledge of Church Networks and engagement optimization
  • Understanding of working with partners including people experiencing disadvantage
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Organisational skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Team working ability
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and willingness to develop IT skills
