National Client Manager / Senior PCA Reviewer - Building Assessments

Salary: $105,000 - $135,000/year

AEI Consultants is hiring a National Client Manager/Senior PCA Reviewer for Building Assessments. This fully remote role involves managing large national accounts, performing and reviewing property condition assessments, and ensuring project quality. Requires 10+ years of experience and a degree in architecture, engineering, or construction management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing large national accounts
  • Building direct client relationships in support of sales efforts through servicing the account and in-person meetings
  • Serving as primary engineering or architectural lead for national accounts, many of which are [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]’s top clients
  • Maintaining a technical review load and delegating reviews to support staff as needed
  • Ensuring all projects are staffed, performed to high standards of quality, and delivered on time
  • Managing Building Assessment projects being completed by associate consultants (1099s)
  • Ensuring all projects meet the client's goals and scope expectations
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior staff
  • Building an intimate, in-depth understanding of the client's goals and facilitating the delivery of consulting to meet those needs

Qualifications

  • Previous experience performing Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) and assessing buildings utilizing comprehensive engineering/architectural practices required
  • Previous experience performing and reviewing Equity projects preferred
  • Knowledge and experience assessing various property types (including but not limited to commercial buildings, manufacturing/industrial properties, office buildings from one story to high-rise, strip malls, shopping centers, and multi-family housing properties)
  • Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily projects
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Willingness to travel if necessary
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively and independently on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Significant design and/or construction experience
  • Experience in construction management preferred
  • Experience with managing various vendors and sub-contractors a plus
  • Bidding and project cost estimation experience

Education and Certifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering or construction management required

Licenses/Certifications: Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) preferred

The work environment may be both indoors and outdoors. Indoor work takes place in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Outdoor work requires the ability to effectively perform work in all types of weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, type, handle office and/or field equipment, speak and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
