As a Junior Machinist, you’ll be immersed in the heart of our machining operations, supporting the production of high-precision components for our Formula One cars.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working with the Machining Group Leader & Team Leaders to understand priorities and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of Manual machining to include Manual Lathes and Milling machines.
  • Reporting any issues or delays in production immediately
  • Providing feedback to Production Engineering on manufacturing issues and improvement opportunities
  • Using CAD/CAM and planning systems, and interpreting technical engineering drawings
  • Setting and operating department machinery and being responsible for the components produced
  • Performing inspections using relevant equipment to ensure component accuracy
  • Ensuring all components meet quality standards and packaging requirements
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to Epicor procedures
  • Communicating effectively with shift personnel and engineers to ensure smooth handovers

Role Requirements

  • Both manual and CNC machinist knowledge would be advantageous.
  • A conscientious, methodical individual with a strong attention to detail
  • High levels of self-motivation and the ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and working hours
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • A passion for engineering and a desire to grow within a high-performance environment
