Marine Operative, Beaulieu River

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Marine Operative at Beaulieu River, Brockenhurst. Salary: £27,000 - £31,760 per year. Permanent, full-time (40 hours/week).

Job Description

A permanent opportunity has arisen for a Marine Operative to assist the boatyard team in the lifting, launching and storage of all vessels within the [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. We are looking for the right candidate to assist with the lifting/washing, blocking off, cross-bracing and launching of boats as required. You will deputise for the Hoist Supervisor in their absence. You will also assist with the patrolling of the Beaulieu River to ensure that the river operates as efficiently and safely as possible in accordance with the Port Marine Safety Code.

In addition to this, you will provide a friendly and welcoming environment when dealing with enquiries from existing and prospective clients and ensure the highest standards of service to customers, representing the company at all times.

Requirements

  • Experience in boat handling, crane and machinery operations and storage of boats
  • Own transport (limited public transport)
  • Ability to swim
  • Clean Driving Licence
  • RYA Powerboat 2
  • VHF Licence
  • Ability to work shifts (Monday – Sunday)
