Location: Edinburgh or Stirling

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 + excellent benefits package

Job Description

A well-established and growing wealth management practice is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their expanding team.

The successful candidate will be part or fully qualified, with full study support and salary progression available for those working towards Diploma or Chartered status. Flexibility around location is on offer, with hybrid and remote working arrangements considered for the right person.

Joining an existing Paraplanning function, you will provide technical expertise throughout the advice process – conducting in-depth research and analysis across a broad range of financial planning areas to support the wider Advisory team. Areas include investments, retirement planning, tax and estate planning.

Working in close collaboration with Advisers and Administrators, you will ensure that business is processed accurately and compliantly, with CRM and back-office systems maintained to a high standard. You will act as a point of reference for technical queries and will take pride in producing thorough, well-reasoned client reports that reflect a genuine understanding of each client’s individual circumstances and objectives.

The practice is committed to delivering an exceptional level of service, offering clients a comprehensive suite of investment and retirement planning solutions tailored to their long-term financial goals.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Paraplanner, with strong report writing ability
  • Broad knowledge across financial planning disciplines including investments, retirement planning, tax and estate planning
  • Competence in preparing client review documents, updating cashflow models, producing investment performance reports, and creating supporting discussion documents
  • Proficiency in IT and familiarity with leading research and planning tools such as Analytics, Voyant, or equivalent platforms
