About the Role

We're looking for a strategic and driven Head of Procurement to lead our procurement function and play a pivotal role in shaping how we deliver projects across the business. This is a high-impact role where you'll combine commercial acumen, leadership, and collaboration to ensure the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of services, materials, and equipment. What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and implementation of a company-wide procurement strategy that supports business goals and drives efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing procurement team, setting clear KPIs and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to deliver value for money and quality outcomes.
  • Oversee procurement for materials, plant, equipment, and services to support multiple construction projects.
  • Partner closely with project managers and estimators to forecast demand and align procurement with delivery timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legislation, and industry standards — managing risk and driving best practice in ethical and sustainable sourcing.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and innovation across the supply chain.
  • Report procurement performance and insights to senior management, supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.

About You

  • 7–10 years’ procurement experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of service-based procurement and subcontractor engagement.
  • Strong track record in contract negotiation, supplier performance management, and procurement systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Familiarity with construction industry standards, H&S requirements, and commercial frameworks.
  • Professional qualifications such as MCIPS, PMP, or MRICS are highly desirable.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement platforms (e.g. COINS, IFS, Oracle, SAP).
