Job Description

Key Activities & Accountabilities
- Complete team estimate visits and produce priced estimates/schedules in line with clients SLA’s – This is the primary function of the surveyor, who will be measured on SLA compliance and schedule accuracy.
- Complete a planning for profit calculation on every project.
- Complete a risk assessment for every project
- Complete an ACM assessment of every property
- Complete a method statement when required (highlighted in risk assessment)
- Complete supplements for Repair Team
- Assist with the final account process
- Assist the Repair Team with site visits and PCM’s (however, this should not compromise achieve the surveying SLA’s).
- Great communication with customers and Repair Team to ensure the inception of the claim journey goes well.
- Cross selling products during the initial meeting.
- Assist the Ops Director and Claims Manager when necessary with tenders or holiday cover
- Ensure the effective use of all relevant resources i.e. people, finance and asset
- Responsible for keeping up to date with client process changes.
- Responsible for deputised surveyors for holiday cover and surge.
Specialist Knowledge
- Knowledge and experience working within the refurbishment sector
- Demonstrate the ability to work alone using initiative to deal with problems encounter and equally as part of an effective team
- Good interpersonal skills
- Must be able to manage job workloads and achieve targets
- Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to workload to complete deadlines
- IT literate with experience of software packages
- Experience of using databases and spreadsheets
- Analytical approach to the estimating process
