AR Associate
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring an AR Associate on a fixed-term basis (6 and 12 months) in Manchester. The role involves managing sales ledger accounts, credit control, cash collection, and building relationships with internal teams and customers. Requires SAP and intermediate Excel skills.
Role Purpose

As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you’ll play a key part in keeping our business moving—owning your sales ledger, building trusted relationships, and delivering an end‑to‑end service that supports both our internal teams and external customers.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing specific ensuring timely and accurate cash collection sales ledger accounts,
- Pro‑actively carrying out credit control via email, phone, customer portals and meetings
- Validating, processing and following up claims and deductions, including commercial deductions
- Acting as the first point of contact for queries, resolving issues professionally and efficiently
- Building strong relationships with Sales teams, PBS colleagues and wider stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate records and updating SAP with collection and claim activity
- Completing monthly customer account reconciliations and preparing customer statements
- Producing regular reporting, including aged debt analysis and balance sheet commentary
What we need from you
Essential
- We are recruiting for two fixed term contracts a 12 month and a 6 month contract.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service mindset with a proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Good attention to detail, able to multitask and work to deadlines
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong organisational, time‑management and problem‑solving skills
- Working knowledge of SAP
