Apprentice Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for two Apprentice Engineers to join our highly skilled and experienced production engineering team here at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in Lifton, Devon, where we create Britain’s favourite custard and rice pudding. This 4-year apprenticeship leads to a Level 3 Mechatronics Maintenance Technician qualification, delivered in partnership with City College Plymouth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• First term of year 1 at college, then two days per week at college for the remainder, with site work on other days and holidays.
• Years 2 and 3: day release at college and on-site work with experienced engineers.
• Year 4: shift work with a specific engineering team, including day and night shifts.
• Upon successful completion, become a qualified multiskilled engineer.

What We Need From You

• Minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths, Science, and English.
• A real interest in engineering and technology.
• Drive, enthusiasm, and commitment to learning new skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and engage positively with colleagues.
• Willingness to work shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
