FULL DESCRIPTION
Community Psychiatric Nurse
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] - Maidstone - Fixed term - Full-time - Band 6
About the job
We're looking for an experienced CPN ready to hit the ground running and manage the complexities of a shared community caseload in Maidstone's Mental Health Together to cover staff leave. You will be required to work autonomously, with the support of peers and Leads, to ensure the safe and effective care of clients sat within shared caseloads. You will be required to cover duty at times. The environment is fast-paced and highly unpredictable; therefore a level of resilience and organisation is required. The skills gained from working within a community team are vast, and this is an ideal opportunity for an experienced nurse looking to try something different. The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
Main duties
- Carry out and coordinate comprehensive, systematic nursing assessments and reviews
- Undertake crucial screening and assessments, facilitate appropriate referrals
- Act as a leader, supporting best practice in line with NICE guidance
