Dental Therapist
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dental Therapist to join our friendly team in Staffordshire. The service is reaching out to people who have previously found it difficult to access dental care, providing NHS dental access and continuing care for vulnerable individuals. This includes general anaesthetic and sedation services alongside dental public health roles.

Location: Tunstall Primary Care Centre / Ryecroft Primary Care Centre, Stoke on Trent, ST6 6BE
Salary: £49,387 to £56,515 a year pa pro rata
Contract: Permanent, Part-time

Main Duties of the Job
- Provide a lead role within this specialist area.
- Perform a range of specialist clinical, restorative or preventative procedures in line with the GDC scope of practice and the Dental Act 1984.
- Provide oral health advice and instruction to specific client groups on a one-to-one or group basis including vulnerable adults, children and young people.
- Carry out Epidemiological survey work in line with national programs.
- Appropriate clinical leadership of members of the dental team and ability to mentor and support new staff members.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Training (Essential)
- Primary degree in dental therapy
- Registration with General Dental Council as Dental Therapist
Experience (Essential)
- Experience of delivering scope of practice in an NHS dental setting
- Experience of delivering scope of practice to vulnerable children and adults in CDS setting
