ICT Engineer

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is looking for an ICT Engineer to join the IT Service Management Team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in London/Canary Wharf with travel to other [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] sites required. Salary: £37,749 - £45,353 per annum. Closes 12 May 2026.

Job Summary

The IT Service Management team provides business-critical support for systems and services to [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] business users. ICT Engineers provide both technical and non-technical expertise in ICT support, part of a national 2nd Line Support team, key contact for incidents and requests.

Main Duties

  • Assist Senior Engineers in providing high quality customer service and support.
  • Ensure consistent user support across all locations.
  • Provide technical support including user accounts, permissions, file shares, Windows OS, and MS communication tools.
  • Support software installation, licensing, backup, and assurance.
  • Work with ITIL processes including Request, Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
  • Ensure compliance with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] ICT Security Policies.

Essential Criteria

  • Educated to degree level in computer science, relevant IT apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in first/second line support.
  • Experience in infrastructure support (network or server management).
  • Experience/knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and associated infrastructure.
  • Experience/knowledge of Microsoft application software including Office 365.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and supporting specialist systems.
  • Experience of Asset and Configuration Management.
  • Previous experience in an ITIL environment using ITIL tools such as Service Now.
  • Clear communicator, excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information, problem solving skills.
