Project Office Coordinator

NHS Band 5: £32,073 - £39,043 per annum | Full-time 37.5 hours per week | Fixed Term (2 posts: 24 months and 18 months)

Job Purpose

The Project Co-ordinator role will have a portfolio of projects for which they will work with supervision or alongside various Project Managers to support the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.

Main Duties

  • Work within digital teams to deliver system wide health and social care projects.
  • Provide guidance and support to Executives, senior leadership, programme and project managers.
  • Provide project support activities including business case development, planning, risk and issue management, and task coordination.
  • Manage assigned projects to produce required deliverables within quality, time, and cost constraints.
  • Support the wider IM&T Digital Programmes services with administrative support.

Job Responsibilities

Communication and Working Relationships:

  • Providing and receiving routine, complex, or sensitive information orally, in writing or electronically.

Analytical and Judgement:

  • Judgements involving analysis or comparison of options.
  • Correlate and analyse information from various sources.

  • Identify and monitor risks and issues, highlighting necessary actions.

Person Specification

Skills and Knowledge (Essential):

  • Knowledge and experience of supporting multiple projects.
  • Experience of identifying roadblocks to successful project delivery.
  • Experience of escalating project risks effectively.
  • Experience of reporting on project delivery schedules.

Qualifications:

  • Essential: First degree or equivalent experience plus further training to diploma level.
  • Desirable: Project Management Qualification.

Experience (Essential):

  • Experience of supporting standard activities and processes.
  • Experience of devising and maintaining standard templates.
  • Experience in identifying process gaps and devising methods to close them.
  • Experience of delivering training.
  • Experience of building networks.
  • Experience of supporting planning for organisation-wide change activities.
  • Experience of successful support to project implementation and delivery.
