Job Description

We are looking for a Pantry Assistant who is dedicated to making every moment count, regardless of their qualifications or experience. As a Pantry Assistant, you will need to be adaptable and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with our team are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the 'Cook Safe' system, ensuring adherence to food safety policies, including food probing, temperature monitoring, and hygiene measures.
  • Preparing and serving breakfast, offering meal choices to residents, and cooking light meals.
  • Liaise with cooks to accommodate residents' dietary needs, be aware of food allergies, and complete daily menus based on individual preferences.
  • Clearing tables, washing dishes, preparing vegetables, setting up for meals, and maintaining a clean kitchen and dining area.
  • Order and store food supplies, ensuring adequate stock while adhering to infection control and health and safety policies.
  • Attendance at mandatory training is required.

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or food service experience is preferred.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina and good communication abilities.
  • A positive attitude and a passion for helping others are essential.
