Principal Teacher of Biology, Stromness Academy

[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a committed and dynamic Principal Teacher of Biology to lead the Biology Department at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] in Orkney. This is a permanent, full-time position (35 hours per week) with a salary of £62,868 per year plus Distant Islands Allowance. The role involves teaching Biology across senior phase courses and Science in S1-3, along with strategic leadership of the department.

About the Role

As Principal Teacher, you will lead, manage and support colleagues, providing strategic direction and guidance. You will be responsible for self-evaluation of the department, development of a departmental improvement plan, and contributing to whole school improvement. The role reports to the Head Teacher.

Additional Information
