Role & Responsibilities

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside experienced eye care professionals, including ophthalmologists, and play a crucial role in the delivery of a diverse range of clinical eye care services to our patients. At [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], no two days are the same. Your role will be varied and can include:

• Pre and post-operative consultations for our refractive and cataract surgery patients
• Providing clinical support to our ophthalmologists during refractive surgery.
• Being part of our multi-disciplinary YAG capsulotomy service, delivering these procedures.
• Providing Essential and Advanced Eye examinations for our patients.
• Communicate with and treat patients via telemedicine.
• Provide clinical support to the hub administrative team where required.
• In the referral triage team, you will be responsible for reviewing incoming referrals from optometrists, GPs and other primary care routes, allocating them to the most appropriate ophthalmology clinic.

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 2 years qualified on the GOC
• Independent Prescribing (IP) qualification preferred
• Availability for 4 long days with evenings and no weekend work
