Overview

An established and growing DB pensions business is seeking a technically strong actuarial professional to focus on the development, testing, and optimisation of member calculation tools. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building and improving models/processes, rather than purely performing calculations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance DB member option calculation tools
  • Perform testing, validation, and UAT to ensure accuracy of automated calculations
  • Collaborate with pricing, proposition, and operations teams
  • Translate calculation requirements into scalable solutions
  • Support continuous improvement of systems and data processes

Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in DB pensions (consultancy or life insurance)
  • Strong understanding of DB calculations and actuarial concepts
  • Experience or interest in model/tool development
  • Part/qualified actuary (or strong non-qualified candidate with relevant experience)
  • Strong Excel skills; coding experience advantageous

Why Apply?

  • Focus on development and innovation, not just BAU
  • Work closely with pricing and proposition teams
  • Be part of a growing DB platform with long-term investment
