Director Data & AI Engineering (m/f/d)

What we look for:

You take on the operational and strategic leadership and delivery of data and AI projects in close collaboration with the management team.
You are responsible for the end-to-end implementation of data and AI platforms, from architecture design to development and production deployment.
You build scalable backend services, data pipelines, and modern AI applications, including LLM- and agent-based systems.
You translate complex requirements into clear technical concepts and ensure their efficient implementation within agile teams.
You collaborate closely with clients, engineering teams, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.
You contribute to architecture decisions and support the continuous improvement of technical standards and best practices.
You actively participate in sales and pitching activities and contribute to the development of the Data & AI offering.

What we require:

You hold an outstanding degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
You bring several years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, AI engineering, or backend development, ideally in a consulting environment.
You demonstrate strong expertise in building scalable systems and working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
You have hands-on experience with modern data architectures, APIs, and the integration of AI and LLM components.
You are highly proficient in Python and experienced in building production-grade applications.
You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
You work in a proactive, team-oriented manner and take ownership of your responsibilities.
You are fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
