Ready for a Cook role that lets you unleash your creativity? If so, join Rosebank House as a Cook working alongside a dedicated team at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]. Become a crucial part of the home team working 37.5 hours a week, crafting daily meals for service users, staff and visitors. The role offers a balanced work-life schedule with two days off per week.
Main Duties
- Responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchen.
- Maintaining good food storage procedures and stock rotation.
- Preparing, planning and cooking meals to a consistently high standard, including special dietary requirements.
- Serving service users, staff and visitors professionally.
- Preparing and producing foods for events.
- Participating in food costings and cost control.
- Adhering to Safer Food Better Business standards and Food Hygiene Regulations.
- Taking full shift responsibility for the catering operation.
- Creating new menus that compliment healthy eating guidelines.
- Filing HACCP paperwork (fridge temperatures, temperature logs, cleaning schedules).
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- GCSE or equivalent English
- City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 (or equivalent) Basic Food Preparation Cooking
- Basic Food Hygiene (essential)
- Intermediate Food Hygiene (desirable)
- Previous experience in a similar environment
- Previous experience of kitchen management
- Menu planning, costing, ordering, stock control and budget experience
