Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP MM (Materials Management) & Purchasing Consultant to support a key client on a 12-month contract based in Leicestershire. This role will play a critical part in delivering procurement and purchasing enhancements within an SAP environment, with opportunities to collaborate across international teams in Ireland and potentially Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support SAP MM and Purchasing configuration, design, and implementation activities
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather and translate procurement and purchasing requirements into SAP solutions
  • Optimize end-to-end procurement processes, including requisitioning, purchasing, inventory management, and vendor management
  • Configure and support core purchasing functions such as purchase requisitions, purchase orders, contracts, scheduling agreements, and release strategies
  • Manage pricing procedures, condition types, and vendor master data within SAP
  • Provide functional expertise across the full SAP MM lifecycle, including integration with other SAP modules (e.g., FI, SD, WM)
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities
  • Deliver user training and documentation where required
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP MM and purchasing-related issues in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with offshore and nearshore teams, including travel to Ireland and Singapore as needed

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an SAP MM & Purchasing Consultant in complex project environments
  • Strong hands-on configuration experience in SAP MM, particularly in purchasing processes
  • Solid understanding of procurement, sourcing, and purchasing lifecycles
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing configuration, including release strategies and pricing procedures
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
