About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-focused Quality Auditor to join our Added Value team in Leicester. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, food safety, and compliance. You’ll work closely with operations and technical teams to maintain an audit-ready environment, support continuous improvement, and uphold customer and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out audits against QMS, GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
  • Identify and raise non-conformances, supporting corrective actions and follow-ups
  • Ensure all quality documentation is accurate, complete, and up to date
  • Conduct sampling and testing (microbiological, chemical, water, and swabbing)
  • Liaise with external laboratories and manage sample submissions and results
  • Support NPD trials, pre-productions, and product launches
  • Provide technical guidance and support to operational teams
  • Assist with customer complaint investigations
  • Prepare and facilitate taste panels, reporting results clearly
  • Perform validation and verification checks on CCPs and food safety controls
  • Calibrate measurement equipment in line with schedules
  • Maintain site standards to ensure continuous audit readiness
  • Identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements

Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Follow all company Health & Safety procedures at all times
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment (“clean-as-you-go”)
  • Ensure walkways, fire exits, and safety equipment remain unobstructed
  • Report accidents, near-misses, and equipment issues immediately
  • Use equipment safely and wear appropriate PPE as required

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Knowledge or experience in food safety, HACCP, or auditing (preferred)
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs

Training & Development

You’ll be supported with training relevant to the role, which may include: Health & Safety, HACCP & Food Hygiene, Internal Auditing, Manual Handling, Safe Systems of Work, Equipment operation (e.g., pallet trucks).

Physical Requirements

This role involves manual handling, bending and working in confined spaces, and being on your feet for extended periods. A reasonable level of fitness is required.
