Director of Video, T Brand Studio International
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is seeking a Creative Video Lead to join T Brand Studio International, the branded content team within New York Times Advertising. This is a leading role based in London, UK.
Job Description
The mission of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is to seek the truth and help people understand the world. We are looking for a Creative Video Lead who is a collaborative team player that can come to the table with video ideas, concepts, direction, production skills, and some editing experience. This role will report to the Managing Director of T Brand Studio International based in London.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the creative vision and execution of high-impact video storytelling for T Brand Studio International across all NYT properties (News, Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, The Athletic) and social platforms.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of video projects, from brainstorming concepts and creating storyboards to final delivery of video assets.
- Work alongside the Ad Sales team and Strategists to respond to client briefs, understanding brand challenges, budgets, timelines, and goals.
- Develop video storytelling ideas for on-site and on social media promotion.
- Work with T Brand creative teams to turn podcasts into video shows.
- Upskill the creative team on best practices in video craft and storytelling.
- Lead the development of video assets for ad units and long-form article content.
- Work with the Program Management team on production and build a list of video vendors and freelancers.
- Audit and present video formats launched by the newsroom.
- Partner cross-functionally with Strategists, Insights and Ad-Product teams.
- Use data and analytics to inform creative decisions.
Basic Qualifications
- Experience in producing and capturing video content, ideally for a media company, production house or creative agency.
- Experience creating videos specifically for social media platforms in a variety of formats.
- Some experience with creating vodcasts or videos in a podcasting environment.
- Visual storytelling experience with motion graphics and graphic design within video.
- Passion for developing different content formats.
- Ability to think what works best for engagement on-site and socially.
- Experience working with video vendors and freelancers.
- Experience with digital analytics and engagement metrics.
- Experience delivering high-quality creative assets within budget constraints.
- Experience with social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Adobe software, Premiere Pro, Capture One and After Effects.
- Experience working with advertising clients in various categories.
