Role Overview

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care while supporting the wider clinical team.
  • Carry out clinical tasks including observations, wound care, specimen collection, catheter and stoma care.
  • Implement care plans, contribute to patient flow, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Supervise and support junior healthcare assistants, assist with induction.
  • Maintain a safe and clean clinical environment, follow infection prevention procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • 6 months paid UK care experience within last 3 years as Senior Healthcare Assistant.
  • Proven experience managing a shift in a care home setting (Required).
  • SVQ Level 3 Qualification with proven experience in medication administration.
  • Relevant registration (SSSC, SCW, NISSC) if in Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland.
  • Knowledge of care equipment and moving & handling.
  • Compassion, teamwork, flexibility, and professional approach.
