[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is recruiting for a Grade 6 Head of Organisational Transformation role. This is a permanent, national position with hybrid working. Salary ranges: £71,381 - £80,419 (national) or £75,674 - £85,257 (London). Closing date: 13-May-2026.

Job Description

The [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] (MoJ) is responsible for the UK’s criminal and civil justice systems. The [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is one of the largest government departments with around 90,000 staff. The Business Architecture and Transformation (BAT) Directorate sits within the People & Capability Group. The Head of Organisational Transformation will lead major change projects, design innovative solutions, and advise senior leadership on workforce, infrastructure, and capability needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, own and coordinate major change projects focused on department-wide Organisational Transformation.
  • Design innovative solutions to complex organisational challenges.
  • Communicate and champion organisational needs across senior leadership and Ministers.
  • Set the agenda for pan-[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] Business Architecture ambitions.
  • Own and nurture relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Active lead in preparation, delivery and implementation of fiscal and political events.
  • Build and lead your team, providing coaching to up to three Grade 7s.
  • Be an active senior leader, engaging across the directorate and group.

Desirable: Experience in strategy, strategic finance, change programmes, or business architecture in government or private sector.

Qualification: Educated to degree level (or equivalent) with interest in strategy, transformation, change, policy, or delivery.
