Digital Business Continuity Manager

About the Role
We’re recruiting for a Digital Business Continuity Manager here at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] to be part of our warm and collaborative Compliance team, within the Delivery Governance Office. The Digital Compliance Team supports wider [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] by ensuring that accessibility, assurance, audit, business continuity, digital standards and service standards are applied.
- Business Continuity - help delivery teams build, test, and obtain sign off for their business continuity plans.
- Audit - provide consistent response to external audit requests.
- Digital Assurance - manage Digital & Technology Spend Approval.
- Digital Standards - ensure digital and technology standards are applied consistently.
- Service Standards - coordinate and manage service assessments.
- Accessibility - support building accessible sites and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Partnering with teams across [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] to produce comprehensive business continuity plans.
- Support identification of critical business functions and processes.
- Collaborate with business areas and facilitate workshops for Business Impact Analyses.
- Guide teams in defining critical business process objectives including RTOs and RPOs.
- Assist with risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Provide advice on risk mitigation strategies.
- Support implementation and testing of business continuity plans.
- Support crisis management and incident response when plans are invoked.
- Ensure documentation of plans, procedures, and incident reports is maintained.
- Prepare regular reports on business continuity metrics for senior management.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in business continuity planning, Business Impact Analysis, crisis management or a similar role.
- Knowledge of business continuity principles, methodologies and industry standards.
- Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- CBCI or equivalent qualification, or willingness to work towards.
Salary and Benefits
Base salary: £42,914 - £46,182 (National) or £49,325 - £53,081 (London). New entrants to the Civil Service start at the minimum. Benefits include a generous employer pension contribution of 28.97%, 25 days annual leave (rising to 30 after 5 years), flexible working, and a £1k learning budget.
