Your Next Challenge
As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you'll take ownership of day-to-day operations, and deliver impactful projects across Azure and IaaS (Windows and Linux). You'll enhance landing zones, build reusable modules, and drive automation to strengthen our cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and improve Azure platform services and IaaS workloads across Windows and Linux.
- Implement hardening baselines and patch orchestration, maintain desired state with DSC or Ansible.
- Enforce secure RBAC, Azure Policy, and identity patterns with AAD and PIM.
- Own observability runbooks and baselines including alerting, metrics, logs, dashboards, backups, and DR drills.
- Administer Windows Server (AD, GPO, IIS) and provide Linux support.
- Contribute to landing zones and reusable platform modules using Bicep and Terraform.
- Implement secure connectivity: hub-and-spoke, vWAN, Private Endpoints, DNS, hybrid links.
- Support VMware-to-Azure migrations.
- Deliver CI/CD pipeline templates in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Enable the Internal Developer Platform for IaC/CaC self-service provisioning.
- Embed secure-by-default patterns and SRE practices.
- Support FinOps guardrails with tagging, budgets, and alerts.
- Mentor and coach platform engineers.
- Partner with DevOps and SRE to standardize container and registry patterns.
- Contribute to technical governance forums.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required
- Azure platform operations across enterprise IaaS and PaaS.
- Strong Windows Server administration with practical Linux experience.
- Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and/or Bicep.
- Configuration-as-Code with Ansible and/or DSC.
- Automation and scripting with PowerShell and Bash.
- CI/CD using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Azure networking fundamentals.
- Containers and Kubernetes exposure (AKS or ARO).
- Observability and reliability concepts.
- Security and compliance: Zero Trust, IAM, Defender.
- Cost optimisation using FinOps practices.
