This senior leadership role involves leading PR strategy, media relations, crisis communications, and agency management to promote men's health. Based in London, hybrid working. Salary £67,000 - £70,000 per annum.

Your Mo-Mission (should you choose to accept it):

This is a senior communications leadership role for someone who eats the news agenda for breakfast and knows exactly how to make men's health impossible to ignore.

As Head of PR & Communications – UK & Europe, you'll cover a 14-month period of parental leave in a critical leadership position – stepping in with confidence and hitting the ground running. You'll own [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s external narrative across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe, leading a year-round earned media and communications programme and driving [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s reputation as the definitive voice on men's health, mental health, and modern masculinity. You'll also counsel senior leaders on reputation, risk, and opportunity when it matters most.

You'll line-manage the Impact Communications Manager in the UK, support the Marketing & Communications Manager in Ireland, and oversee a roster of PR agencies across France, Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Strategic and hands-on in equal measure.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the UK & Europe PR and communications strategy, aligned to global priorities but built for local relevance and impact
  • Driving proactive, insight-led media relations across broadcast, national, digital, and specialist outlets – quality and influence over volume, always
  • Developing a clear channel strategy to reach priority audiences, from mass awareness through to policy and sector specialists
  • Building and maintaining senior media relationships – journalists, producers, editors – and positioning [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] as the go-to expert voice on men's health
  • Leading issues and crisis communications, and providing reputation counsel to senior leadership
  • Overseeing European agency relationships and integrated campaign delivery across markets including France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and Ireland
  • Translating [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]'s research, impact, and advocacy priorities into compelling, audience-first storytelling
  • Managing spokespeople, influencer, and ambassador relationships, including media training for internal experts and senior leaders
  • Ensuring always-on communications presence outside of major campaign periods
  • Identifying and securing awards and speaking opportunities for [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and its leaders

No Moustache Required - but the following are:

  • 10+ years in PR and communications for high-profile, cutting-edge brands or organisations
  • A genuine passion for the news cycle, a sharp news instinct, and the ability to move fast when it matters
  • Proven track record of top-tier media coverage across national, broadcast, and digital channels
  • Experience managing PR agencies across multiple simultaneous campaigns
  • Comfortable operating at senior leadership level – you're as credible in the boardroom as you are in a journalist briefing
  • Experience working with celebrity talent, influencers, and high-profile spokespeople
  • Superior writing skills – from a punchy press release to a complex policy messaging framework
  • Experience in social media and owned channel strategy, with strong tech literacy

Not Mission Critical - but for extra bonus points:

  • Experience in the charity or health sector is a bonus, but your passion for the mission matters more
