Salary: £42,839 - £47,181 per annum

Location: Civic Offices, 1 Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom

Job Introduction

This is a rewarding role where your work will directly support improvement following a Care Quality Commission inspection. You’ll play a key part in helping Adult Social Care embed a culture of continuous learning, consistency, and high‑quality practice. Working closely with colleagues across Adult Social Care, you’ll use the Quality Assurance Framework to understand what is working well and where we need to improve. By bringing together audit findings, performance data, and people’s lived experience, you’ll help shape meaningful improvement actions that keep people at the centre of everything we do. This role sits within a supportive and collaborative Quality and Performance team that works across Adult Social Care to strengthen practice, improve outcomes, and support colleagues to deliver consistently high standards. This role may be suitable for home working, following an assessment. Home-based roles require a minimum of one day in the office/site per week. Interviews for this role will be held on 1st June 2026

Main Responsibility

  • Coordinating and analysing quality, safeguarding, and performance data across Adult Social Care.
  • Supporting Care Quality Commission inspections by preparing information, coordinating responses, and tracking actions.
  • Working with internal teams and partner agencies to monitor and deliver agreed improvement actions.
  • Managing and responding to learning from safeguarding reviews and learning events, including sensitive and emotive information.
  • Using the Quality Assurance Framework to monitor practice, identify themes, and highlight strengths and gaps.
  • Developing, completing, and analysing audits to ensure services meet legal requirements and guidance.
  • Producing clear reports and insights for managers, senior leaders, and external partners.
  • Supporting service development projects that reflect learning from audits, performance data, and people’s feedback.
  • Deputising for the Quality and Performance Manager when required, using your judgement to manage risk and priorities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A graduate level qualification or significant relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation and guidance, including the Care Act and Care Quality Commission requirements.
  • Experience of quality assurance, auditing, or service improvement within complex services.
  • The ability to analyse information, identify themes, and present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Confidence influencing and supporting colleagues across teams to drive improvement.
  • Experience working with sensitive information in a professional and supportive way.
  • A commitment to person‑centred practice and learning from lived experience.
