Job Description
The key objective of the Infield Assessor – Civils role is to ensure that engineering field teams are fully trained, accredited, and compliant with industry and client requirements. This includes delivering externally recognised accreditations to field-based staff and subcontractors and ensuring operatives work in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] and client Health and Safety standards. The role also ensures full accreditation compliance against both internal and client skills matrices through onsite practical training and distance-led training methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure engineers are compliant with both internal and client matrices by managing renewal of expiring or expired accreditations.
- Deliver training across safety and craft modules in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], awarding body, and client standards.
- Support candidates to present and perform in line with [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] standards.
- Gain accreditation to deliver additional craft modules in line with the academy development plan.
- Support colleagues’ development, including assessor qualifications.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and provide feedback to relevant departments.
- Record and report assessment results and training outcomes.
- Complete required documentation and reports across departments.
- Escalate any issues arising during training delivery to the appropriate departments.
- Work across allocated geographical areas and provide support to other regions as required.
Person Specification
- Strong planning, organisation, and monitoring skills.
- Computer literate.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
- High attention to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to prioritise workload, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
- Full UK driving licence (held for 12+ months, maximum 6 points).
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Willingness to travel and work away from home as required.
