Staff Software Engineer
[Employer hidden — sign up to reveal] is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to design and evolve cloud-native systems, mentor engineers, and shape technical strategy. This role is global and remote-friendly.
About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer at [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal], you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of [Employer hidden — sign up to reveal]' core platform. You'll design and build distributed systems that power thousands of properties globally, mentor engineers across teams, and help drive the evolution of our architecture as we move from a modular monolith toward service-oriented systems.
What You'll Do
- Design and evolve scalable, cloud-native systems that support global hospitality operations 24/7.
- Lead by example: write clean, maintainable, production-ready code in C#/.NET, with services hosted in Microsoft Azure.
- Mentor and guide engineers, sharing best practices in architecture, testing, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and data teams to turn ambitious ideas into reliable features.
- Shape technical strategy: contribute to architectural reviews, long-term platform planning, and engineering process improvements.
- Champion our culture: curiosity, transparency, ownership, and bias for action.
Tech You'll Work With
Backend: C#/.NET (latest LTS), Azure SQL, Redis, Cosmos DB. Frontend: React + TypeScript. Data: Databricks, dbt, Kafka, Spark, GoodData. Infra: Azure Cloud, Terraform, Pulumi, GitHub Actions. Monitoring: Sentry, Coralogix, Azure Monitor.
About You
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 in a senior or staff-level capacity.
- Strong background in C#/.NET or similar backend language.
- Experience designing and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, performance, and observability.
- A collaborative, growth-minded attitude and an ability to mentor others.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and making trade-offs.
